Back to school

We returned to our public schools this week and Dexter and Charlie had the best time at Helen Marie Smith.  The school is being rebuilt so they are in a temporary building for this school year. Thus the dogs had to sniff all around and get to know their new home for a year!  We are meeting with second and third grade students and the first sessions went so well. We shared the dogs’ stories and what therapy pets are. Then we taught the children how to greet a dog safely. Then they all got to pet both dogs. Many of the third graders knew us from last year and many of the second graders are new to us. Such a great mix of students. Next session will be all about How to Care for your Dog.
