National Small Dog Day
The last Thursday in February is Small Dog Day so let’s celebrate small and smaller dogs. There is no size requirement or limitation for Pet Partners therapy dogs and over the years we have had the smallest, 4 pound Rocket Man and 5 pound Petey, to all those we may still consider “small” at 20 pounds! Thank you for understanding it is not the physical size of the dog that matters but the size of their heart and love.

Mildred at work
Kelly and Mildred have been visiting with the youth at Child Haven for quite a while now. Sometimes they just talk. Sometimes they just love on Mildred. Sometimes they read together. But it is always a very special time for the kids and Kelly and Mildred.

We love visiting the VA
We absolutely love our visits to the VA Hospital. We meet in a large room so we can spread out the therapy pets. Staffers especially love to come see us as we are part of their wellness program. Doctors, nurses, therapists, staffers all come on their lunch break to have a cuddle and some relaxing time with us. Thank you to Jim and Dude, Rosie and Birdie, Bob and Dexter and Charlie and Michele for making today’s visit so special.

Back to the nurses!
One of our favorite groups to visit is the students at Galen College of Nursing. Our monthly wellness visits bring out the best in everyone. The dogs love it, the handlers love it and we know the students love it! This week we brought Buddy, Xoco, Zoar and Ginger to meet with the students and as you can see, it was a huge hit.
